Will you send a letter?
The Michigan Library Association has established a call to action letter regarding the use of curbside service at libraries. If you haven't already, you can contact the governor via:

There have already been over 300 letters generated to her in the past few days. Thank you!

During this closure we will continue to provide access to many of our electronic resources. 
Access to our Ebook offerings and databases is available to everyone with a library card.

Free remote access has been EXTENDED for
PebbleGo, PebbleGo Next and Capstone Interactive eBooks
through August 15, 2020.  We hope these resources are helpful to all of our elementary students. You can access these resources and more on the Library student resource page

We are extending the due dates of items due in May 2020. Items due between 05/01-05/24 will have 45 days added to the due date and items due between 05/25-05/31 will have 30 days added to the due date.   

In addition, If your Library Card was set to expire between now and May 28th,  it has been reset to the equivalent day in June. 


NEW --RBdigital Audio Books - Please take a look/listen to RBdigital Audiobooks!  This service is FREE to Flat Rock Public Library  card holders.  All you need to do is register your library card, login and/or download the appropriate app to your device.

We have added several free learning resources for students that are available through the student resource link under the  COVID-19 tab at the top of this page or by following this link.


Ebooks are available through our catalog or by using the OverDrive link provided at the upper left of this page.

Our book drop will remain open for you to return your borrowed items.  Late fees will be waived until after the Library reopens.

In compliance with Governor Whitmer's
"STAY HOME, STAY SAFE"  Executive Order, 
The Flat Rock Public Library
will be CLOSED through May 28, 2020. 

During this time all events, programs and library services, including "Curbside Service" are CANCELLED.

THE CITY OF FLAT ROCK IS TAKING MEASURES TO PROTECT THE PUBLIC AND OUR STAFF IN ORDER TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF COVID-19.  THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF OUR CITIZENS AND STAFF ARE OF THE UTMOST IMPORTANCE.  AS A RESULT, THE FLAT ROCK PUBLIC LIBRARY WILL BE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC THROUGH MAY 28, 2020.
