How do I get a library card ?- For information on obtaining a library card, click here.

How do I renew my library materials?  Some items that are not on hold for another patron and not overdue can be renewed. Rental DVD's are NOT renewable unless you pay $1.00 for another 7 days. You can renew items or review your account by calling an automated 24-hour line at (888) 672-8983 (numerical PIN required) or by going online:    

  1. Go to the online catalog
  2. Click on My Account
  3. Enter your library card # and PIN
  4. Click on the Checkouts tab
  5. Check the appropriate boxes or select all and click "Renew"
  6. Wait for confirmation that your items renewed as expected. .

Are there overdue fees?  Effective September 15, 2021 Flat Rock

Public Library card holders will not be charged overdue fines by the

library for Flat Rock Public Library items!   Existing Fines have

been waived.   The library will continue to charge replacement costs

for lost or damaged items.

How can I pay for my fines? Fines for Lost or damaged items and fines from other libraries can be paid at the front desk with cash. If your fine is $5.00 or more, you have the option of paying with credit/debit card through the online catalog. You can do this either at home or at the library. Follow the steps above and click on the Fines tab instead and follow the prompts in order to pay your fine via PayPal. Any questions? Please call us or ask one of the staff.

What is the charge for printing? Printing is $0.15 per page for black and white and $0.50 per page for color. (***Please check with a librarian PRIOR to printing if you have any questions regarding your printout and to ensure that the printout comes out correctly***).

How do I replace a lost card? You must bring in identification and a $2.00 replacement fee is applied.
