Who We Are Now
WHO WE ARE
Our Flat Rock Public Library is located at 25200 Gibraltar Road, Flat Rock, Michigan 48134. Our library is funded by a dedicated one mill that the voters in Flat Rock approved in 1994. Our library is a busy place with many youth, family, and adult classes going on in addition to patrons using all the resources available here. We are fortunate to have such wonderful community support in all areas.
We are nicely situated in front of the Flat Rock Historical Area Buildings, next to a beautiful city park and just across the park from the Municipal Building that houses all City of Flat Rock services.
Our library is a Class IV public library serving approximatley 4,878 (2010 U.S. Census) residents of the City of Flat Rock plus approximately 3,289 residents of the City of Rockwood. We are located in Wayne County and are a member of The Library Network. We have a very busy Local History Room staffed by dedicated volunteers for eight hours per week.
There are eight adult computers and six youth computers available for valid library card holders. We also have a color copier and a fax sending and receiving service. We have a Quiet Study Room available plus an Activity Room for use by local non-profit and community groups.
