Rules on Donations

 

 

Flat Rock Public Library opened in 1999 to serve the taxpayers of the city of Flat Rock. It is funded by 1 mill of property tax. It is governed by a 5 member Board of Trustees who are appointed by the Mayor of Flat Rock.

The collection of about 40,000 items includes:

  • Books                                                                       
  • CDs
  • Large Print Books                                                   
  • Maps
  • Audiobooks                                                             
  • Consumer and Investment services  
  • Newspapers and Magazines                                 
  • Research Materials
  • Local History collection
  • DVDs and videos

A meeting room is available to community groups and organizations. Programs for children and adults are offered occasionally. Summer reading and story times are regularly scheduled activities.

Library staff includes 3 professional librarians with a Master in Library science degree.

A photocopier and fax machine is available to the public.
