About the Library

The Flat Rock Public Library is a municipal library opened in 1999 to serve the taxpayers of Flat Rock. The library is operated by a Board of Directors who are appointed by the mayor. There are three professional librarians on staff.

Highlights of our collection and services include:

  • Over 50,000 items in circulation
  • A Local History Room
  • A meeting room available for community groups and organizations
  • Programs for youth and adults
  • Summer reading and story times
  • Color copier and fax machine

HOURS: Monday to Wednesday, 10am-8pm; Thursday-Sunday, 12pm-5pm
